MJ having Pippen shouldn’t be used against MJ, especially considering you can make the argument that Wade/AD>>>Pippen. Pippen might have fit the bulls system and fit Jordan as a running mate better than Wade, but 2011 Wade was still a top 5 NBA player and was already regarded as one of the greats all time at his position. AD is considered a top 3 Big man in today’s game and probably a top 5 player. I’d make the argument for LeBron just simply based on what he can do with any kinda team. He fills so many gaps, so his game is malleable to any franchise. He did it with Wade and Bosh in Miami. Then did it with a different kinda score-first combo guard in Kyrie and Love in Cleveland. Then he did it with AD and company in LA.

Players are gonna smash all of his records. In 20 years people are gonna think this era was weak only averaging 105ppg they gonna average 145ppg.. that's just the way things go.

At some point there is a peak tho.

Unless players in the future are shooting 80% from the field they're not going too much further statwise

No matter if you think he is the goat or not Bron has had a run at the top that probably won't be rivaled anytime soon if ever. To be damn near two decades deep in the game and still seeming to have plenty left there is still time for him to add to his resume.

the next nikka gonna be ridiculous :damn:
True but they are all ridiculous.. just in different ways based on how the game is played in their era

We really need to eliminate this need to
Rank players individually in team sports and instead

Rank their levels

Lebron is now on Kareem , Jordan level

The top tier

They are equivalent.. not one is better than the other

Only God can rank players because only God will have seen all players who will ever play and can compare their ability and relative eras in which they played

In our lifetime we will only understand that a player has reached the top tier unless he can achieve a level of success that others before him have not

Like Tom Brady for example

And even he is debatable because he has reached the top level without being the best player

Media knows it too. They are warming up for his post career coverage:

The way hes going to finish as the #1 scorer of all time. With so many rings and MVP on both sides of the league, east and west....

His actions in terms of political advocacy for black people in this country.... Unreal....

The stuff he does for the community and how successful Klutch Sports is etc.

They going to do entire documentaries on just his scoring. Then another on his rebounding, then another on his assists, because he gonna either be the all time leader or top 10 in so many categories, its gonna fill a whole month covering this dude.

There's just literally no way new kids entering the league wont be compared to Lebron after Lebron retires.... He played too many seasons, stayed healthy to long, topped to many charts, leads to many stat categories, fulfilled too many storylines.. Every new baller with potential that enters the league will have their accomplishments stacked next to Lebron at their age to show a comparison.

I don't think I've ever seen a MJ fan make a thread, IG post, Facebook post or Twitter post trying to justify why MJ was the GOAT

Bad timing slim. There's a post on top 10 coli right now begging people to STOP calling Lebron the GOAT.
