Can't say Taker was ever my favourite, but there is no denying that gimmick appeals to the masses and he knew how to play it, tweak it occasionally and keep it relevant for a long-ass time.
He is limited athletically and he's kind of an ugly motherfukker but the dude absolutely maximized what he had and put together a career in the business that few were ever able to match.
Loyalty to Vince goes a long way. He was a top-level dude who didn't even consider WCW through the tough times and Vince never forgot that.
The respect he has in the locker room is undeniable, and he's had it for a couple decades. It's one of the realest things in the business. Sure, he's only around a few times a year lately, but when he is, that dude is the fukking MAN. Every time he is mentioned in a book written by a WWE wrestler, the sentiment is the same: dude is respected and fair, his words carry a ton of weight, and he is not to be fukked with.
Having said that, I am dapping that original post because there's truth in there, it was creative and I respect the poster and his opinion.
