Teams out here trading 1sts for washed up or never been shyt WRs? Guys like BMarsh and MOSS have gone for 3rd and 5ths. We gave 1sts and then some for corpses.
Other than the 3 OL, Lee, DeMarco, and Dez, what draft pick have we hit on in the last 5-7 years?
I mean Dak was a good pick. Zeke may be a good pick. So that's a couple good ones from this past draft.
But what about the other 4-6 years?
Where the 2015 class at?
2014?
2013?
2012?
2011?
2009?
We're lucky we got Dak to supplant Romo. So when Romo got hurt, we had a viable plan.
We're lucky we kept Leary. So when La'el got hurt, we had a viable plan.
But any other position on this team besides RB, and we're fukked.
WR, TE, DL, LB, CB, S.
What am I even saying. The guys we're STARTING at half those positions are already complete ass.
This is not how you build a team. When we face a couple injuries, it magnifies just how poor of a job the FO has done with regards to constructing a 53 man roster.
The way this team drafts, you'd think there were only 1 to 2 rounds in the NFL draft every year.
Our best FA signing in the last 5 years or so is ..... Brandon Carr??

On another note, yall Zeke haters dont wanna admit it, but this is why you draft a player of his caliber so high in the draft. San Frans game plan will be to stop him at all costs, which will open up the passing game for Butler, Beasley, and Trex.

Those are all UDFA. Essentially 8th round draft picks.
You don't build your team through FA, but you can get very valuable players. Packers - Charles Woodson. Patriots - Darelle Revis.
It says a lot about our FO that our best FA in the last 5+ years is 3 games of Alfred Morris

They were still free agents breh. They could've gone to any team but they came here. The front office deserves some credit for getting these players in here.

Stop it bruh, the only reason La'el was available was because of that bullshyt police questioning. If he hadn't of been called in by the police then he was going to be a top 15 pick.
And that's fine. Like I said, they're essentially 8th round draft picks. Every team signs guys that go undrafted. We've done fairly well in that regard.
But in actual FA, the period BEFORE the draft, where you can sign vets to improve your team, we get the Benson Mayowas and Cedric Thorntons and Andrew Gachkars and Mackenzie Bernadeus and Darren McFaddens of the world.
Not saying we need to be paying $100mil for Suh, but they don't even make a reasonable effort to shore up WR. Or DLine. Or LB. Or DB.
It's just frustrating as a fan of see how flabby the passing game was without Dez. And nothing was done to address it.
It's not like Dez is some ironman who can be relied on to stay healthy.
Out here making luxury picks like RB at 4 and a redshirt LB at 36 when this team is back to counting on Terrance fukking Williams to be the 1.
Sorry if I'm not as enthusiastic about this team/management right now as the rest of you guys.
We're basically hanging Dak out to dry. No defense. shytty WR corps. Old, slow TE. Basically saying have this oline and rookie RB and cook breh. And to his credit, he's doing an AMAZING job. But it shouldn't be like that.
Oh, and if that isn't enough, he has to deal with Jason Garrett being his coach and dictating the offense.
