I think the organization was absolutely setting up for this to happen though. Just not this soon. I think they were trying to hold off until at least 2018. But over the past few years, they didn't want to spend big money on free agents and looked towards the draft to build this team. This team since the offseason that Ware left has been building for the future since and this past offseason shows you that Tony wasn't really part of the plan either. This was to build a team for the next qb to have success. Strong o-line, strong run game, strong receivers, a young athletic defense (expect 2017 draft to be heavily defense). If this was win now, Jaylon would not have been drafted in the 2nd round IMO. I could be off on this. But this is my what I've been seeing.
