I think the organization was absolutely setting up for this to happen though. Just not this soon. I think they were trying to hold off until at least 2018. But over the past few years, they didn't want to spend big money on free agents and looked towards the draft to build this team. This team since the offseason that Ware left has been building for the future since and this past offseason shows you that Tony wasn't really part of the plan either. This was to build a team for the next qb to have success. Strong o-line, strong run game, strong receivers, a young athletic defense (expect 2017 draft to be heavily defense). If this was win now, Jaylon would not have been drafted in the 2nd round IMO. I could be off on this. But this is my what I've been seeing.

Last yr the only playmaker on offense that could do anything was DMac.

This yr we have. Dez, Zeke, Morris, Dunbar, and Dak can use his legs and won't be scared to throw the ball down field like the QBs we had last season

we literally had score on 70-80% of our possessions this year to make up for this raggedy ass defense. that's way too much pressure to put on dak's shoulders.

especially with the idiot piece of shyt puppet head coach we have gameplanning a 90's offense.

Here we are again dissecting the schedule just like last year...unbelievable.

*sigh* looking at that, my hope is we somehow split the division games, and beat CHI/SF. 3-3 start....

i think the offense will be fine but he's going to need a top 10 opportunistic defense or else we have no shot this year.

We can beat the Deadskins with Dak. Hell we beat them with Cassell last year.

The SF and Chi games are must wins imo.

Looking into the numbers again we actually would save 5.1 mill in 2017 if we cut him. The cap hit is 24.7 mill if we keep him and 19.1 if we cut him
