I've had a bunch of jobs:

Contractor: Most of the day is filled with bullshytting (just like an office job, but its physical labor). If you are paying for 4 Electricians to do work, three guys are standing around and they have a kid doing all the work. If you ever hire someone to do work on your place, make sure you are watching them the whole time, it will make them uncomfortable enough to work quick and get the job done.

I worked for a General Contractor while in college and all we had to do was remodel the master bedroom/bathroom and gut and finish the basement. He dragged the project out for 6 months, billing these people for shyt we never did. He would drop me off in the morning and say, "call me when the owners get home, if they do get home, look busy and make noise"

Wal-mart: all employees steal... all... It's policy to not check out with cashiers you know personally, but that is ignored by everyone. You go to your friend who is working and wait in line, they scan half the items you bring them (the cheap ones), everything gets bagged, you walk out past the store greeter with the

I worked there in HS and I literally had more cash back then than I do now as a working man. I had Ipods when they first came out going for $100, niccas was eating heavy. I had the Timberland shoe box full of cash.

nikkas in da Rec Room prolly would be more interested in this but there's hardly any real black concept designers/visual development artist workin in the film/video game/television industries from what i've seen. Only real recognizable one is LeSean Thomas from the Boondocks and Chris Baker who did production artwork for A. I. and a couple other projects.

I have yet to find any others, especially ones that are actually good at it and can be "contenders" so to speak . The only time i see a brotha sprinkled in is usually in the more technical sections of the pipeline (Animators, I.T., Lighters, etc.) and them cats 9/10 is lames. I'm talkin bout absoluely no swag havin oreo ass muhfuggas. Majority of the time I always feel like the token nikka in a sea of nothin but asian n white folk. People always seem to be a bit "surprised" I'm black after lookin at my work since my specific field is so heavily dominated by the two races i spoke of. I remember when i first got into the field a couple years ago i was flown out to a place for an on site interview and i walked in that mufukka and both the art director and H.R. recruiter had that slight look on they face when they saw i was black. lol Now maybe i was readin too much into it and just used to white follks bein on that cac shyt but thruought that whole interview process n studio tour i had the feelin on the inside listenin to them talk. But it was cool and I ended up gettin a call back offering me the job not even a day after i got back home. So I was
