Excuse my ignorance here, but why haven't we seen Sting vs Undertaker?

I've seen the crow, Sting didn't die and come back to life somehow. he was a guy in cool make up who used great sneak attacks to get the upper hand of the heels. him and taker are not alike at all. to me anyway

without a doubt though, his gimmick is based on the crow, they even had his promos directed in similar fashion.

and without a doubt, his bash at the beach disappearance and reemergence was VERY similar to being reborn from that incident.

i dont know if you yourself watched all that, but my memory serves me will as i was in high school i remember at school "AYE, STING TURNED INTO THE CROW"

that wouldnt have been feasible at a time when guys like scott hall and kevin nash etc were using their real names. nobody would have bought it

exactly which why I don't get the comparisons to taker that people bring up all the time.

because at the point that sting had evolved into his gimmick, taker started evolving as well, once the additude era came along they moved into more of a reality type thing and taker went from deadman to mysterious, into that devilish cult type deal and it was about 2 degrees from what sting was doing.

again i have to ask you, were you watching during this time? because if you were you have a better understanding of why whats being said is being said.

I mostly watched WWF. Sting was Mysterious but he didn't have powers or anything. Sting never had satanic undertones. He was very much grounded in reality, the story with him was finally finding where alliances were since he wasn't speaking and kept to himself in the rafters. The Fake Sting also made the story interesting.

Undertaker eventually turned into the ABA. Sting just never went back to The Crow gimmick like Taker went back to the Deadman...

it was WCW breh. And Technically Sting was lit on fire and fell to his "death" in a matxh with Vampiro. Could have been done

He was "ripped to shreds" by dogs after a falls count anywhere match with Rick Steiner around that same era also















WCW was rough near the end there.

That's not having a feud, and that match didn't do anything for his career. Not the same thing as it would be if they had it now or a few years back.

This match would feel forced if it was to happen now and i wouldnt even be that hyped to see it. Sting would have to go back to that darker character he had when he hardly talked and i dont think he can pull that off at this point. It would be good for nostalgia sake but i think we would all be let down if they had a match now.
