Yea, people saying this is intentional are ridiculous, people don't always fall in predictable ways, especially when they're moving fast.
Looking at recent NHL injuries, I found this that happened a couple of days ago, man gets hit, skate goes way up in the air:
Dude who took that injury took a skate to the face a few years ago.
Dude who hit him is apparently a "tough guy" with hit compilation videos on youtube. So many skates in the air after people lost balance ... the one at 0:36 was dangerously close to slicing him.
And you have this after Johnson's death as well.
watching the vid was brutal. RIP to that man
Jesus I just saw it… did some grateful meditations after that one. To see his last moments like that was just sad.
