This is tough. Not sure I can get behind the manslaughter charge here. Playing hockey, it looked like it wasn't natural, but I don't know. That's really tough to charge someone with manslaughter for that.
It's the UK and it is a sport they don't really play or understand.
Several people have died there in boxing and they never arrested their opponents.
Just a couple of days ago, one player cut another teammate in practice with his skate, causing a major cut to his quad muscle.
Seattle's Jordan Eberle sustained a leg injury when he was cut by a skate blade Wednesday.

He could have been cut across his femoral artery, which could have killed him like it almost killed this guy, also cut across the leg by a teammate in practice:
Winnipeg Jets rookie defenseman Zach Redmond has undergone surgery to repair a laceration to an artery in his right leg after a teammate accidentally stepped on him during the club's morning skate on Thursday.

The injury occurred near the end of practice when Redmond tripped and landed on his back. The teammate then stepped on Redmond with his skate, opening a sizeable wound in Redmond's mid-thigh region -- cutting the femoral artery.
Imagine if that was on video, stepping on a teammate ... the way y'all calling this intentional would call that.
