I remember it being something we took to heart as kids and it just staued that way.
You know when your a kid the “lead” boy always got with the “lead” girl. When we’d play Power Rangers as kids, all of us black kids use to make believe that Zack was the real leader (we called him “Jason Zack” this is a TRUE story) and we’d fight over who was gonna be the leader and date “Kimberly”.
Then Tommy showed up and CRUSHED the buildings. NOBODY wanted to be Jason. It was all about Tommy.
I always got to be Tommy because my parents brought me a Dragon Dagger for making All A’s
Well, when you bring the neighborhood politics into it yeah Tommy got his bytch snatched. She didn't even feel no type of way about crushing on him after he tried to kill them, brainwashed or not. But you know white girls love them some thugs
She'd rather spend time and money helping that dude get a TWIC card and a job driving trucks so he can have three different families around the country than spending a couple of hours in the backseat of the love bug with Billy or future world peace representative Jason. Tommy also had a bunch of evil clones show up throughout the series. No telling how many of them were running through Kim after stealing some Macguffin for Rita/Zedd.
Edit- I was always Goldar or some monster in the neighborhood Power Ranger episodes. Most offense only to lose at the end.

Yeah you could tell that Jason genuine cared for everyone on the team and was close friends with them for the most part, especially Zack. Tommy only cared about Kim

Who landed the final blow on them rock creatures who was guarding the Great Power? Who saved the kids who were racing towards their deaths when the train track got destroyed? Who regrouped them when Zordon died and reminded them that “through the power of the Ninjetti, anything is possible”?

This kinda reminds me of the difference between the Yu Gi Oh anime we got in the west and the Season 0 Yu Gi Oh anime/OG manga from japan. The latter was way more violent than the US version

I was about to post this. Dragon Ranger was way more bad ass than Tommy. Dude was the embodiment of I wish a dude would. Declared himself king of the world and dared a dude to stop him.
Yeah this was me originally thank god I went back and watched the second part of Turbo and In Space later on In Space was the goat power rangers season lol.I agree I like Zeo thats why i said anything AFTER Zeo.
The show got corny as fukk once they had that little kid replace Rocky. Couldn't fukk with it after that
