Not to sound too stupid, but after listening to this joint for the past few days, I'm not really sure what it's about.

Is the money a metaphor for something? What does him walking in the rain have to do with him saying there's more on the way?

"we know the answer, but dance around what the question is...what is it? it's back to who's on first. it's my dog. it's his tail. it's the chase. it's the search..."

I was always off and on with Ev, depending on the year/time frame.

99/2000 era I was on board:ehh:

I cant pin point it but something became off with him lyrically and then I couldn't tolerate his flow /delivery:scust:

Weatherman got me listening to him again, mainly due to the production though

But once him and Fashawn went on their lil run I started checking for him on the mic again (Fashawn is a beast by the way)

Sometimes MC's say shyt just to sound dope:francis:, Rick Ross is a prime example. The individual bars sound nice but they don't connect.

What's the release date for this?
The song is already out, but there's not a release date for the album yet. It is finished and has been submitted to Rhymesayers, and the album will drop late summer, but probably in early fall, especially since the mood is darker than a summer album. It's definitely on the way and we'll get it sooner than later.

:blessed:

Dope title, but glad that's not the album cover.

Regardless of what you think of him, the dude puts together great albums, and he plays to his strength and hides his weaknesses. He also makes sure the mixing and mastering is emmaculate.

This will be fire. I think Alchemist has a lot of production on this, and I heard Nottz has a lot of beats on this too.
fukk i cant wait til september

That's the release month?

fukk, that'll mean it's 6 years exactly since Cats & Dogs.

Where has the time gone?
:mindblown:

Title confirmed to be "Weather Or Not". It's coming in September, Alchemist did 5 or 6 songs on it.

That's good to know, and about par for the course. Ev usually uses 5-6 Alchemist beats per album. That's dope. I heard Nottz and Ev recorded like 10 joints together. I don't know if they're all for this album, but I think Nottz will have a good chunk of the production on here too, and Nottz is the most underrated producer alive right now IMO.

Cats & Dogs & The Weatherman LP were dope AF. Will eventually get around to Lord Steppington, and will check for this album too
Check out The Layover EP if you haven't. That might be my favorite out of them all to be honest. That's when he started improving a lot as a rapper IMO
