evidence albums always have lots of involvement from alchemist, so I'll definitely check this out. I liked his first two albums, but I didn't really like lord steppington tho.

I liked Lord Steppington but I thought it was gonna be harder than that... a little disappointing... but I started liking it more when I listened to it.

Evidence the most improved rapper in hip-hop history is back to bless us with brother Alchemist :wow:

Don't sleep on Ev y'all he ain't the same man he once was :whew:

This drops tomorrow don't it?
Great post.

And yeah, the video and single drops tomorrow. Hopefully it'll be a little iTunes package with the instrumental.

This should be good. Is alchemist doing the whole album?

Alchemist isn't doing the whole album, but I think he's got a pretty sizeable amount. So does Nottz. Ev was saying he linked with Nottz (I'll try to find the link) and they did over half a dozen joints together. I don't know how many of those will be on the album, but I Nottz is the most underrated producer ever IMO, so I'm really glad I'll get to hear them together because I don't think they've done anything before.

In the song that drops tomorrow he basically says he mostly writes to Alchemist beats and not much else.

I actually thought it was gonna be less hard than it was. That's interesting. I haven't listened to it in a while. The first 2/3rds of it I remember liking a lot, and then I thought it dropped a little bit, besides that joint with Blu and Rakaa.

Ev's raps on there are random as fukk. I don't know if he was trying to do his Ghostface thing or what, but his raps on there are super stream of consciousness raps and hardly anything like his solo projects, which I thought was kinda cool. Seemed like he was mostly just trying different flows and patterns and stuff. And Al's raps I usually hate, but it seemed like he had a little Roc Marci influence on a few tracks and that verse on the joint with Roc Marci was a good storytelling joint about gambling. I liked that song.

They all had dope verses as a matter of fact:

Yeah man to me this project they were just having fun and trying some new shyt. Not to say that I didn't like the beats... but some of them just didn't seem like what they woulda been rockin on for that project. But like I said they was just having fun... still made a good project out of it.

Truthfully, I used the wrong word "hard"... cause you right the beats are hard... I think I expected more production flexing than I got. Another thing to was Ev's performance. Since I realized he was the greatest improved of all time I expected him to snap on this... but he kinda just having fun with it.

That's sort of how I feel about it to. I anticipated that shyt really heavily since they talked about doing it in 2008/2009. So I probably made myself think I liked it more than I did. It's a stoner album. It's definitely better if you're high.

I still think the first joint they did under the tag 'Step Brothers' is the best one.I'd put So Fresh

I always thought the electronic sounding beat was another Sid Roams joint that never made the cut. I know he kept saying he was gonna drop Make It Mine (prod. Alc) but never did. That was supposed to be an extra bonus, and so was State of Emergency, which ended up dropping on a Montage One album.

No, you're right. The joint I'm thinking of was definitely a Sid Roams banger. That one is crazy. They've been mad quiet over the last couple of years. Hoping that's not the new status quo for them, they were pushing the needle. I need to hear that track, maaan. State of Emergency was good, but see how it wouldn't have fit on C&D.

100%

Last I heard from Sid Roams was when they did the best joint on that Em and Royce album and then the closing joint on Eminem's last album.

Not sure how they got the connection with Eminem, but I wonder if they just got the money and chilled?

Because they've been quiet ever since. I wanna say Joey Chavez did some production on Dilated's last album, but I don't think Bravo was involved. Sid Roams is Joey Chavez and Bravo, but I'm guessing you knew that.

EDIT: Damn they got one tweet since 2015: Sid Roams/Bravo (@SidRoamsBravo) | Twitter

I remember Ev back from his DP days, never really checked for him until the Stepbrothers project with Alc and it was dope. I'm going to check this out also
Man, I'd say Cats & Dogs is the project to check out. Some people like Weatherman or Layover better, but the raps and flows are definitely more accessible on Cats & Dogs, and Layover is an EP, so it's a short listen and the quality of the raps isn't quite on Cats & Dogs but it's a step above Weatherman IMO.

All of his projects have good production and features.
