No doubt people will say I'm bugging but to me, at this point, Evidence is easily the best white rapper ever to do it :yeshrug:
I agree. It's funny though, I don't even think of him as a white rapper. He's one of the only white rappers I can think of that doesn't draw attention to it either way. A lot of white rappers either draw attention to it in a boastful way, like Eminem, or they go the deprecating route like Macklemore and actually milk white privilege as a cynical marketing ploy. Em has gone the self deprecating route in recent years too.

Ev just focuses on content and the final product, which is really dope, and I feel like his topics are shyt that anyone can relate to no matter where they're from or what their background is.

And honestly there aren't a ton of white rappers I like at all. There's a few, but he's definitely my favorite white rapper. I think the only real argument is that Em (as much as I dislike him) is a better technician. But when it comes to making music that's actually enjoyable, there's no comparison. I think Ev is a much more interesting artist, and a much better producer.

Sean Boog from The Justus League dropped one of my favorite EPs last year (It's Midnight Somewhere), and he's a white dude. I don't listen to Droog, Ill Bill, Vinnie Paz, Apathy, or a lot of those white rappers. I used to listen to Action Bronson if he was with the right producer, but he's long become uninteresting to me. Ev and Sean Boog were both on the new Khrysis album

The bolded parts are exactly my situation. It was only relatively recently that I even consciously thought of Ev as a "white rapper" and at that moment I was like, oh damn I guess that makes him the best of them :mjlol:

Joe Scudda is a white rapper that actually has one my fav verses of all time personally.

One of my favorite verses too. I always thought it was a shame that Scudda's most well known verse is on Lovin' It, because that's one of his worst verses ever. It was a throw away, and that song was not made with the intention of being a single.

To tie all of this back together, Big Pooh was actually Ev's inspiration for attempting to start his solo career without quitting Dilated. He saw a fan ask Pooh to autograph Sleepers, and the fan told Pooh he liked Little Brother, but that Sleepers was extra special to him. And at the time, Ev didn't even know Pooh had made a solo album.

Sadly, Scudda's official debut album never came out, and it had a lot of production from Evidence, Alchemist, Sid Roams, Statik, 9th Wonder, and Khrysis, and features from Sean Price, Smif-N-Wessun, Step Bros, etc.

And lastly, since you mentioned Scudda, I gotta post the a few songs he did with Ev. The first is a joint features Pooh and Scudda, the 2nd is Scudda with Step Bros produced by Alc, and the 3rd is a Scudda joint that Ev produced.

I still like Weatherman LP the most, even if Ev wasn't as strong of a rhymer then. That album's production was fire and still holds up very well. It had a bit of everything.

This album is definitely his most mature and focused album to me though

BTW I don’t know if you guys have Spotify but I just found out that the official weatherman instrumentals are on there. And I didn’t even know they existed until a month ago.
