The more I watch this show, the more I realize Ak is where he is at strictly based on him commodifying shyt people so on here and elsewhere for free. If there was ever an example of hard work beating talent this is it. Like I'm trying not to be a snob but this guy has a college degree from a known school and articulates himself poorly and has awful analysis. He is literally rote memorization that looks informative because he is next to Budden. His entire contribution is a 20 second Google search away. The two of them should never try to tackle any serious topic. Their bread and butter is the uninformed masses. I can't tell if Budden is dumbing down or what but goodness this shyt is like high school. These guys make me appreciate Charlemagne and I didn't. One of yall need to start blogging. This is trash.

Which is EXACTLY why the Friday shows aren’t entertaining without Joe being there. Akademiks played himself by agreeing to do that.

To be honest i think he was only thinking about himself and the extra money he was gonna make and not the bigger picture about the content of the show.

Whether you like it or not. Joe Budden MAKES the show.

Joe is the (former) rapper who has been in the industry, has some insight on how things go, and represents the “older” heads in hip-hop. And Akademiks is the blogger and represents this new generation that glorifies the fukkery. Which is why the show works..

Every time a real notable artist comes on the show Akademiks has barely anything to say. Which speaks volumes..

Joe can be annoying at times but he is a good personality. The dude is pretty good with guests but he be on that bullshyt sometimes when speaking on some issues. The show is getting better now that they’re almost a year in..

Stopped watching after a month for this very realization on top of AK is a c00n. Doesn’t know shyt about social things and pumps out garbage content he takes from forums and other gossip sites, came up off of the chiraq shxt
