The more I watch this show, the more I realize Ak is where he is at strictly based on him commodifying shyt people so on here and elsewhere for free. If there was ever an example of hard work beating talent this is it. Like I'm trying not to be a snob but this guy has a college degree from a known school and articulates himself poorly and has awful analysis. He is literally rote memorization that looks informative because he is next to Budden. His entire contribution is a 20 second Google search away. The two of them should never try to tackle any serious topic. Their bread and butter is the uninformed masses. I can't tell if Budden is dumbing down or what but goodness this shyt is like high school. These guys make me appreciate Charlemagne and I didn't. One of yall need to start blogging. This is trash.
I used to like the show when it first dropped and would tune in to every episode but the last month or so, I haven't really been checking for it because of everything listed here.
It's clear that AK is getting his knowledge/information from the Coli/Boxden and he gathers the thoughts of different posters and formulates his opinion. YOu'll notice he'll say shyt like " a lot of people say " but who are those people? AK doesn't go outside. A lot of those people are US. Online forum posters and that's who he is referring to. He is not intelligent or smart in anyway and neither is Joe. Joe is actually a nikka who thinks he's smarter than he is and it's comical
he truly believes he's this intelligent enlightened individual but he's often WRONG about the shyt he says, is usually completely misinformed on general knowledge or hip hop history and just comes off like a fukking moron more often than not. I like when they have certain guests on and they delve into some behind the scenes stuff about the industry and politics within but it's still often shyt that we KNOW about. Like you said though, the show is for kids and the misinformed because these two SUCK as hosts. This should could be so much better with the right people
