 been saying this since the song drop. I can understand if Kendrick actually took some shots but "lil bytch" being consider a huge diss to Sean is :mindblown: to me. I don't even want Sean to answer back because Complex and these hipster hip hop sites will make Sean doesn't have a chance to win. Plus that Interscope machine :francis:
The myth that rappers r "scared of kendrick" is bullshyt

I think if its anything there scared of its interscope.

Rappers r aware how interscope can change narratives and can dictate what bloggers, sites and etc say.

So with that going for kendrick its not being scared of his rap skills. Rappers are worried about
its rather the huge machine behind him that gets rappers to think strategically on what they will do.

"lil bytch" is an adlib/slogan that Big Sean uses. There was definitely intentional usage of that by Kendrick on Humble.
Im pretty sure the general consensus was that the heart part iv was a Big Sean diss. He was addressing Sean's song "no more interviews" and he called him a bytch on their too.

That's his best song and even that song ain't do what I thought it would had.
What you mean? :martin:

Magnolia was a huge song in the culture, one of the most remixed songs of the year. Arguably the song of the year in hip-hop. Joe's talking about the label pressed the button on the song and he couldn't be more wrong. Magnolia picked up steam organically, it was a slow burn from when the mixtape dropped in April. They let this song do what it did.

If you want an example of a label pressing a button on a song look at Humble, video drops and the next day the song has a top 5 Billboard debut. Joe was acting like Carti was some label pushed rapper, nah this nikka been had an underground following. Songs with millions of plays on SoundCloud (Broke Boi, Beef, Fetti). Dude was considered mysterious he even called himself the "Jay Electronica of mumble rap" because he had this buzz for awhile and hadn't dropped a tape.

Carti had 700k on Insta without a tape that tells all you need to know

Sean knows how to play the game, he'll respond, but he'll make the most out of it by holding it until his next album drops.

But yeah... seeing how Kendrick already "bodied" him with an ad-lib, it won't matter how dope the record is, cause Kendrick's stans will dismiss it. I still think the, "Rocafella chain but you'll still get ether'd" line is the best jab thrown in their whole lil back and forth so far.
And they dismissed it on Everyday Struggle like Kendrick said some next level shyt.

Nah fam, dude had people behind him but you just don't know who. Trust me there is a reason to this buzz. Furthermore Magnolia ain't shyt and its not song of the summer IMO. Its here today and will be gone tommorow. In factBodak Yellow was a better song.

That playboy carti guy is over hyped and only hipster lames feel he is something special for rap. Dude is absolutely nothing special.

I've seen like 3 episodes of this show and it's crazy how much Akademiks stutters in all of them, lol. Not stutter like he has a stuttering problem, but whenever Buddens gets aggressive with him and questions him he immediately starts stuttering when he begins to answer, and that's when Buddens cuts him off aggressively, lol. Be madd non-confrontational brehs

This nikka budden so fukking annoying nowadays he just argues to argue :snoop:. Ak said soundcloud was offered a billion from spotify and dude tried to argue that it was never worth that( hinting at less) :dead:
I get his point, sometimes people offer your company a figure because they see what it'll be worth in the future not it's current value.

For example when Instagram tried to buy Snapchat it wasn't worth the billions of dollars they offered at the time but IG saw the future revenue they'd generate would be worth to pay well over it's current value because they felt they'd make that plenty times over later on.
