The below is pre-COVID and likely definitely worse now
EVERYONE now understands the RAT RACE GAME and that they’ve been LIED TOO.
“You scrape and you save, you work yourselves half to deaths AND STILL you CAN’T afford what you REALLY WANT. You have to face the philosophy that Life SUCKS and THEN you DIE!!!!”
I usually avoid these type of threads cause of the bad takes within them...but if anything, they show that mental health issues like depression need to be talked about more...so people who don't understand them can get a better understanding of them.Alot of dumb ass responses in here...
Depression is a part of existing as a human. Some people suffer more than others from it and need legit help to treat it. The causes are a wide range of different factors from genetics to trauma to seasonal changes to experiences to all kinds of shyt..
It's not caused by "your choices in life" ... that's the dumbest shyt I've heard in a while
I think social media is the main cause of depression in a lot of people because they see people living the lives they would want to live and end up comparing their lives to other people and ended up feeling depressed, unaccomplished and unattractive.Social media, unaffordable housing, outrageous medical bills
I've dealt with depression for over 15 years and it's started from a traumatic experience where I got jumped by 5 people on the way to a college party and was nearly killed.Bad decisions can cause depression but most people have depression because they have unhealed traumas
Everybody's reasons are different breh brehIf you need a 50 reasons list to workout instead of looking in the mirror, you probably aint gonna work out anyway

It's beyond "bad life decisions"... If bad life decisions were the leading cause of depression then explain rich and successful people who suffer from depression too?
Chester Bennington
Jason David-Frank
Robin Williams
Kurt Cobain
Anthony Bourdain
Kate Spade
Did they make bad life decisions? These were successful people that committed suicide due to depression.
Hopefully the Coli can one day mature in its discussions of mental health.
All while we're being constantly reassured that everything is back to normal.Ever increasing bills
Low wages
“Inflation”
Social Media fueled detachment from reality
Lack of human interaction
Constant propaganda
Sugar fueled diets
Big pharma
Lack of spiritual foundation
Lack of adequate coping mechanisms for depression
Who would've thought that making everything worse would make people depressed.
