Everybody hates Chris is a better written show than Martin. But Martin isn’t corny or a c00n show. There aren’t many black sitcoms with a young childfree long term black relationship being the central focus of the show. Martin was a very refreshing sitcom in that aspect.

The comedy may have been over the top, but as a 29 year old man childfree man, Martin is the black sitcom I relate to the most.

Grew up on Everybody hates chris and never missed that show. I also was watching reruns of Fresh Prince + Cosby show. Just could never get into Martin.
