Vegeta was useful for one Saga, and that's the Frieza saga. He killed all of Frieza's top goons, i'll give him that. But Goku came thru with one move and paralyzed Racoome, that's the only way Vegeta had a chance of killing him.

The abridged series showed how much of a bad ass he was in the Saiyan saga. How he played the background and didn't lift a finger until he had no choice [Nappa failing him]

Or the time where he cut Frieza's tail off right when he was about to crush Gohan's skull? (While

was sitting there shook on that )

Tien had the edge in DB, but in Z? Dude spent 2/3 of the series either on some with Chaiotzu offscreen or in the bushes while Krillin was out making moves, chilling with the ladies, and riding for his squad




While

is totally blameless in that same scenario, even though he could have bodied Cell RIGHT THERE but chose to put the world in danger just to have a stronger fight for himself

aaaaaannnnnnndddd rushing into the Cell fight after Trunks died and becoming the reason Gohan got his arm broken, putting the world in danger yet again?

and put the world in danger AGAIN by letting Babidi mind control him

A lot of cats don't know this, but the Tri beam is one of those bizarre, haxxed moves that's way stronger than the person actually using it (like the destructo disc). It's not based on Tien's powerlevel, it's just a ridiculously strong move with the tradeoff that it drains the user's life force.

That, and the move only held Cell down-- it didn't do any real damage. It was still a cool moment though
