This reminds of when I was in middle school. There was this special needs kid that loved Batman and thought he was real. For the purposes of this story we will call him Tanner. For lunch break, they let him mingle on the yard with gen pop.
Around this time I found out Batman died in the comic book. I made it my business to let Tanner know Batman was dead. The other kids took note and reinforced it. Tanner would get mad and try to chase people and fight them when they told him Batman was dead. Tanner couldn’t fight for shyt and was seriously under weight for a 8th grader.
Tanner didn’t make it over to high school the next year. I think his parents had to move to another town to give him a fresh start.
