I've been to Paris, Dubai, and Ethiopia by myself. I've been to several other countries in groups but in my experience, it's better to travel solo. That way, I am on my own time and I can do what I want to do and when. Of course it can be dangerous traveling alone but I just travel light, stay in touristy areas, and don't dress too flashy. I'm headed to Colombia in a few weeks but this time I'm solo and I can't wait.
Currently in TZ. I've currently been out the United States for 599 days with 434 days in Africa alone. Keep in mind prior to this trip I've been to Colombia at least three times for at least month each time. All I know it's been a long wolf when I travel. And it feels great.Ever take a trip by yourself? Where did you go? How long did you do it for?
What did you learn about yourself?
I really think that everyone needs to have a moment where they take a trip by themselves. I am planning to do it this year, but I am not sure where.

must been just downtownI went to Detroit in 2008 for DEMF/movement. Drove 5 + miles from Pittsburgh to Detroit alone cause I had no one to go with. It was fun.
I was actually about going to concerts alone because most of the music I liked many of my friends did not like the same way.
