Ever travel somwhere by yourself?

Yeah I plan on going to Miami solo. Just don’t like the hassle of feeling like I have to compromise for someone else while I’m on vacation especially someone I ain’t Romantically involved w/.

Used to drive to Chicago dolo for a weekend all the time. Pre pandemic i went to Portland alone and it was cool. I’m a solo dude anyway but I got a mouthpiece to chop it up with the random fellas and spit game to the women so I’m always good when I travel

I've been to Paris, Dubai, and Ethiopia by myself. I've been to several other countries in groups but in my experience, it's better to travel solo. That way, I am on my own time and I can do what I want to do and when. Of course it can be dangerous traveling alone but I just travel light, stay in touristy areas, and don't dress too flashy. I'm headed to Colombia in a few weeks but this time I'm solo and I can't wait.

Man this last trip to Colombia, I'm lucky I didn't get robbed or killed. Me and the person I was visiting took some shyt and we were beyond fukked up. We had a private driver and luckily he didn't set us up. I've never been that fukked up in my life. I remember thinking about this thread and knowing that I fukked up. Luckily, I made it back stateside without going through some bullshyt.

I really think that everyone needs to have a moment where they take a trip by themselves. I am planning to do it this year, but I am not sure where.

Currently in TZ. I've currently been out the United States for 599 days with 434 days in Africa alone. Keep in mind prior to this trip I've been to Colombia at least three times for at least month each time. All I know it's been a long wolf when I travel. And it feels great.

Travelled to Japan for 3 weeks.

Was good, liberating and just great no one could Pisa me off or be late to anything. But I won’t do it again.

Missed just chatting to someone about something I’d seen, or whilst eating, etc.

Chicago but i knew people over there doing a theatre show so I would meet up with them on some days.

I did everything the city had to offer


I've also had to travel for work at times in my life best thing to do is go to a bar and just chill and always use local transport people will just talk to you in some cities

I went to Detroit in 2008 for DEMF/movement. Drove 5 + miles from Pittsburgh to Detroit alone cause I had no one to go with. It was fun.

I was actually about going to concerts alone because most of the music I liked many of my friends did not like the same way.

The furthest I went alone was Philly from NY, I enjoyed it every time I went to Philly




99 percent of the time I'm alone when I'm in public. So traveling extended distances wouldn't bother me.

Before I got into my relationship, I would book flights for quick weekend trips around the country routinely. Sightsee, catch a game, etc.
