Ever take a trip by yourself? Where did you go? How long did you do it for?
What did you learn about yourself?

I really think that everyone needs to have a moment where they take a trip by themselves. I am planning to do it this year, but I am not sure where.

I rarely travel with others, I did during my previous relationship

But my first solo trip after that was Christmas 2022 to Arizona with my dogs and my main dog died of a heart attack on the trip. While shovel shopping I went to Walmart, they had none so I went to the Home Depot across the plaza and I lost track of where I parked my car. Took me like half an hour to find it and I was worried it got towed (with her body inside, with the rest of my dogs) :francis:

My preferred solo trip is to San Francisco
I always sleep in my car while traveling as I find hotels to be disgusting and potentially contaminated with either industrial chemical or bed bugs, also I travel with dogs so if any place will allow me with dogs they allow others with dogs and that is a red flag

Traveling this way is more of a thorough experience connecting with the city

Thread premise makes me feel like most of y'all are leading a sheltered existence if this is abnormal to you

Sorry about your dog.

I am OP, I think I was talking about traveling the world, and I don't think traveling by yourself is abnormal.

It’s cool. Between the lines, taxis, and Uber can get around easily. And every neighborhood is different so it’s exciting.

I always end up tapping in with a cool
Bro or a female too Chicago got good people
I might go for 2 days 2 nights

I’m worried about being bored at night

Traveling alone is the best or 1-2 max. I used to enjoy the large trips but the issues that sprout up don't make it worth it. I've been on trips where brehs were short on funds and tried to cheap out on spots so I'd break away from the group all the time. I refuse to cheapen my experiences to make others comfortable so it's better to just go solo.
