Also ain't nothing changed since Malcolm's day. Black people been fighting for half a century and it's still the same damn thing.

Not true at all we have made a lot of progress since Malcolm's day. I would say the biggest issue is we have not evolved our arguments and strategies to fight racism or white supremacy.

book made me realize Malcolm's conflicts with father figures
couldn't see this in the movie
it seemed as if as soon as malcolm got fond of the master he then tried to outshine him

that shyt with west indian archie and the number
when archie tried to play him on some "what number" type shyt
Red could've just played it off and said yea I was fukked up that night...
instead he tried to get cute ...which made archie run and check if red played that shyt
Archie was doped up when red actually played it..and just out of respect Red should've charged it to the game
watched archie spin out of control w/ the H and then scooped the whole racket.

for some strange reason I always thought Malcolm took Archies statement about a man living by his rep and held the honorable E. M.
to that same standard...and that's all I will say about that

You're confusing the book with the film.

Its a very honest book and maybe thats why its so well liked. I've read autobiographies before and you can feel how disingenuous they are but Malcolm X put everything on the table. He admits he is a flawed person who is trying to do his best for his family and his people and maybe he is wrong or he is right but no matter what he is going to stick to his convictions until the end.
I've read it and its much better than the movie. But I don't think this is an honest book once I think about how Alex Haley Roots book was based on a lie.
