ESPN’s Cari Champion Promoted To ‘SportsCenter’ Anchor

being a host on a daily talk show is definitely a promotion from being a general assignment reporter who covers the NFL only.

a) Cari was never "host" of First Take. She was a moderator.
b) The NFL programming on ESPN gets A LOT more ratings than First Take.

If it was a show like Numbers Never Lie or SportsNation or some newly conceived show, I would see your point. Cari was never the "star" of First Take. It would be a step down for Josina.
