I have a personal belief that Ohtani will quit pitching in the next few years, and the Dodgers will be stuck with a glorified DH.
I just don't see him taking on that massive workload of having to start 20-25 games, DH and produce 40-50 home runs every year.

:hubie:

I got no doubt GOATanhi can play some outfield if it comes to that. He did it in the Japanese league at times. The Big Jap just different

You shouldn’t be able to defer a 70 million dollar per year salary. You just stack a team now and worry about paying for it later down the line.

That shyt shouldn’t even be allowed at all.

Some owner is gonna stack the deferments and then sell the team before they have to pay. They know it’s some rich guy who will pony up.

Capitalism is gonna capitalize.

I do not agree with it. As my life has been fukked up from this whole deflection called deferment tactic legally.

Except this is what this penal colony pirate ship based life.
called capitalism is in america.

It is not right. It just is.

The Nationals owner attempted to do this before failing to sell the team. :dead:

I’d throw him 5year/60M a year and stop there. Name 5 sluggers over 33 you would want on your team for 45M a year?

I’ll wait. Maybe Bryce Harper. Yankees are lucky Judge had another MVP season.

Cap is what? 252M. Imagine paying one player over 20%+ of your cap space and still try to fill out the other 24 positions.

I hope Cashman isn’t stupid. You are better splitting you money amongst 3-4 above replacement players than strapping yourself to an on base GAWD for 10-12 years at 50M.

If Yankees are out, dodgers are bidding against themselves. Really, he should see 44-50M a year. Anything above that, you played yourself.
