Yup they pretty much strong-armed the NBA into coming to ABC. I'm sure they are gonna make a huge run at getting the Olympics. You know that nothing pissed them off more than having to give all that coverage to something that wasn't on there air. They couldn't minimize it or ignore it so they just had to roll with it.
It is so hard to watch SC now. Not sure if it's gotten that bad or if I have just grown up.
NFL and NBA network highlight shows are so much better. I still fukks with PTI, Sports Reporters, and the occasional OTL that grabs my attention. There was a time when I could literally just leave the TV on ESPN, now I just tune in for the shyt I like and keep it movin.ChuckDaddy

I cancelled my cable a few months ago and I was planning on getting it back in Sept when football started. I thought not having ESPN was gonna be tough, but it's actually been refreshing. I gotta find a way to get ncaa football without cable now. I'm planning on getting the Sunday Ticket through ps3.

drama and locker room "he say-she say" is all ESPN is about these days. and all of these "opinion" shows have worn out also and has become sickining. i used to tune into PTI and ATH religiously but i may care to watch once per week these days

Oh I agree. What I'm saying is that it's 2012 and people are still complaining about what ESPN's not giving the viewer when there are other sports channels coming up giving the viewer everything they want. The issue is that people would rather see ESPN get better than to watch another channel because it's so much of an institution to everybody.

I think it's important to point all this stuff espn does out because some people are just brain dead. I got a brother who has espn on 75% of the time, telling me about what Chad did to some broad that I have no clue about. shyt is soap opera status, and grown men run around talking about gossip like females

I rather watch the NBCSports channel. The Lights shows you everything not just a certain part of the game. When I saw Linda Kohn talking about Kim Kardashian i knew the channel was done.

Back in the day I used to DEFEND ESPN so hard to my friend who would be like "Man how can you watch this ALL day?" My argument was that there were different people who talked about it different ways. He was like, "It's the worst kind of news. The characters aren't even good actors."
Looking back on it I feel a lot dumber, but I also feel like it wasn't so lame then too.

Bret held entire organizations hostage. Didn't make his decision until the final couple weeks of camp just so he didn't have to train with the team. Didn't dude get caught sending dikk picks ? Didn't he have his own personal shower and locker area ? I actually heard someone from that network say they thought the Dwight Howard "saga" damaged his reputation smh.. Bret did this shyt for years. Lebron has to apologize for what ? One decision ? Bret had whole fukking summers !
I don't get this shyt either. They're even going to show his game today on ESPN Classic. A fukking Sugerland Skeeter baseball game on network television??
