Also going to hurt pro athletes in 3/4 years because Disney isn’t going to pay as much for live sports. They currently have gigantic contracts through abc/espn for “exclusive” rights that will go elsewhere to less paying stations which means less money thrown in the pot for revenue sharing.

Amazon, Netflix, Facebook, and Google will gladly over pay for the rights

I think the non-American Football leagues will be fine with the next rights negotiations. These networks are now trying to drive people to their streaming services like CBS All Access and Peacock. Those streaming networks have already started putting European soccer on those networks exclusively to drive paid subs. They'll still want sports at insane prices; they'll just maybe use them to drive streaming service subs instead of using them to sell ads.

And as someone else said above, the tech companies will also get into that arena, as Amazon has done with big league soccer in the UK.

Either $4.99 or 5.99 a month.
I don’t watch all that fighting bullshyt :unimpressed:
Just bundle Hulu/disney/ESPN+ for like 12. When sports are actually going ESPN plus is the bets bargain there is. If you like college sports like the smaller time college hoops, baseball, worldwide soccer etc. mad coverage

Outside of football (American) though, no one is moving the needle like that it shows in the ratings. The potential ROI and subs for those sports just might not be worth the amount that it takes to get them. Especially depending on the prices/packaging and if people have the option to cancel on a month to month basis. Even then, eventually the price will only go up to help offset the cost of obtaining the rights.

Eventually all of the major sports will end up on streaming services in some format, but it won’t be on this round of contract negotiations. In 5-10 it most certainly will be.

They still paying Bomani to act like he's smarter then everyone? If not he needs to be cut next

Nah LeBatard needs to go . Bo has been compromised but he still gives the most nuanced takes on “black issues.”

LeBatard on the other hand is so far gone from what he used to be that it’s time for him to go . He’s BEEN overdue .

And Key and Jay shoulda NEVER happened but I’m not gonna advocate for those black men to lose their jobs ... but that show and their attempt to hold down a 4 hour Morning spot is/was a failure from the jump. They ain’t it . At all.

I listen to Bo's evening podcast where he doesn't talk sports. I do enjoy that. But dude has always been kinda condescending cuz he got those two master's degrees.

They can get rid of both, I don't care. But I'd bet Bo doesn't bring in a 10th of the audience Dan does

I can see how it can be interpreted that way but I never really felt like that .:manny:

All told , until someone else black comes along who can match and/or exceed Bo’s analyses on slightly more involved issues ... they gotta keep that man .

Cut Van Pelt, that dude annoys me

My fellow Maryland alum moved his SC show to Washington, DC. He's not going anywhere.
