Thats the NEW definition. It used to be strictly for players who put up a lot of shots and don't pass. Ya'll decided to change it to "player that brings the ball up the floor that I don't like"...

Or players that pound the ball till they can score or get an assist.

Back in the day assists could save a person from the title of ballhog but now context and nuance can be taken into account

Disrespectful to Kobe ..

:patrice:
Damn I was going to say nobody use to put up shots on the block and yell Melo like Kobe ...

But then I remember they did..
Because Melo was drafted after Kobe is sort of why they saying Melo is the last

LeBron and Harden have the ball in their hands more than 90% of the PGs in the league. The difinition of the ball hog.

Absolute lie. LeBron is 20th in time of possession right now, he stays around 10-25th in time of possession every year. Yet another narrative the haters made up out of nowhere.

Not to mention that that's not the definition of a "ball hog" anyways. A ball hog is someone who always shoots when he gets the ball, not just the guy who happens to run the offense and have the ball in his hands. Ya'all will just say anything.

Lol the article has very little to do with usage rate, and more to do with the value of the 3 vs the value of the mid-range where Fat Iverson usually operates from. Essentially you can't be an inefficient chucker who shoots alot of mid range shots in today's NBA.

The only thing in the article that I really disagreed with was the idea that smaller scorers like Donovan Mitchell were being curtailed when Carmelo came into the league.

Iverson, Payton, Starbury, Stevie Franchise, and Arenas were all elite 20+ ppg scorers when Carmelo came into the NBA, and none of them relied heavily on the three-ball to do it. You could be a small guy and still get buckets in the key back then.
