RIP Alimoe, one of my favorite pure hoopers from that time. AO and Skip also.
Completely forgot that Alimoe passed away. He was another unsung hero from that era. You had your categories as to what each guy brought to the table. They were all entertainers, but they all had a role. The group of guys -- the pure hoopers like you said -- that I always saw as the ones that could turn on serious mode and flat out out hoop the competition straight up (not counting Rafer who made it to the league) was Headache, AO, & Alimoe. Those were the ones that were going to win the game if it was close down the line. Spyda & Helicopter were your high flyers that jump out the gym on the break and catch the half court alley, while Sauce & later on Professor were the showmen whose chief purpose was to entertain and get people into the building. Main Event & Eascalade were always the captains & elder statesmen.

Alimoe was one of the most talented for sure. Slept on because he was not as flashy as some of the rest, but when push came to shove, he was the go to guy when the trick shyt went out the window and buckets or a defensive stop needed to be made. Sad to think he has been gone now for nearly ten years.

I remember watching the episode of Streetball on ESPN when Air Up There did the 720.

One of the craziest things I'd ever seen

I watched the hell out of that show. Baby Shaq the best AND 1 player ever. Out of all of them he was the one who really should've been in the league

Springs was a monster one of my favorites
