The MTV reality tv show about street ballers, TV broadcasts of Nike's 1 on 1 world championships, Street Ballers on PS2...

That show was cool as hell. I wish they would've ran some more seasons of that

This And-1 Mixtape 30 for 30 is incredible. Soundbombing II was probably one of my favorite albums back in 1999. Loved that Rawkus era.....1-9-9-9 was a SPECIAL record and it being the backdrop to street ball was everything.

I remember Dr. Buss and the Lakers organization didn't want him anywhere near Rucker or this game. IIRC, if he was injured in any way, he was going to be held financially responsible. Kobe went anyway. He was that dude. For all the criticism he got of being aloof and stuck up, he always showed love to the average man and never seemed like he felt he was too good to be amongst the fans. Outside of the Drew Leauge which is a lot more structured, you won't ever see top stars putting themselves out there like this again with everyone being so "brand" conscious today.
