That season was must see TVThat season of Streetball when they introduced Professor and Spyda was some of the best shyt ESPN ever showed
yea, it needed alot more. 1 hr is not near enough to cover all of it. they sped through so much. no mention of the fallen/passed guys, no mention of professor, etc.
The documentary was ok. Glad that they didn't spend time on the Professor and everyone who came after.
One of the best basketball documentaries I seen. Oakland streetball legend Hook Mitchell
Gary Payton and Jason Kidd looked up to him
See, Professor, Spyda, etc. didn't need to be in this, but no Alimoe, no Escalade, no Flash, no Sik Wit It. NO DUKE TANGO!!! Having an MC on the court during those games was huge. Now you can't have a streetball game without one.The documentary was ok. Glad that they didn't spend time on the Professor and everyone who came after.
He played HS ball with Antonio Davis too..Everybody says he was the best from Oakland
I see your Hook & raise you Booger
What if they played an nba game in a retractable roof nfl stadium how would that workAlmost every year, the Coli would suggest an outdoor game at Rucker, but as a regular season game.
That was one of @Jplaya2023 's hallmark suggestions that any time some other league did some shyt like that, took off on Twitter.
Field of Dreams game last year.
Twitter: yoooo, the NBA should do something like that, like at Rucker Park and shyt
Yeah man him and headache were some wild ass crab in the barrel ass nikkas… once Main tried to fight skip on tour skip was done with them nikkas and never looked back…Didn't care for him even as a kid but watching some of his antics as a grown man, he was a bitter clown. He low-key was shading Sauce later on too when his popularity peaked in '02 - '04. He could play but was delusional. Dude was like 6'3 1/2 with slightly above average athleticism, average handles, and game like a 90's PF. He had no shot of being as popular as some of the guys in AND1 or making it to the leauge. A lot of them understood their limitations and rode the wave & made the money while it was there. He never came to term with his.
Bean went there fresh off a 3 peat & at his apexSee, Professor, Spyda, etc. didn't need to be in this, but no Alimoe, no Escalade, no Flash, no Sik Wit It. NO DUKE TANGO!!! Having an MC on the court during those games was huge. Now you can't have a streetball game without one.
Kobe was ALL up in the commercial for this doc, but they never mention that game. All these pros who played on those courts, yet they couldn't highlight one game. They didn't mention how the players actually did try to claim ownership and strike out on their own only for Ball4Real or Ball Up to fall apart. In some ways, peak streetball was the night of the blackout in '03. They didn't talk about the pros that wound up marketing And1 themselves and went from a company that only sold shirts to being up there with Reebok and Adidas claiming #2 behind Nike at one point. Little things that shoulda got a mention that add up to a doc with more content.
and that's with being cool with the doc ending in 06-07.
they played an all-star game at Jerry World before. What if they played an nba game in a retractable roof nfl stadium how would that work
