Thurman fukked that up when he lost to Manny. You don't get a shot at the top dog after coming off a loss like that. That's not how it works.

Actually, Thurman does get a title shot because he's still owed one.

Remember, Thurman voluntarily relinquished the WBC belt when he got hurt. He never lost that belt and he was told that when he got back he would get another shot. Keith even mentioned it the other day, talking about how he could make a call to the WBC at any time and get that title shot

He stiffed them so it is what it is.........At that point leaving HBO for showtime.......HBO at that point would've added a half milly to about each of Floyds last fight off the strength of Floyd Merchant fukkery alone

Of yeah Fukk Floyd Manny HBO and Showtime for that debacle of a set up for the match of the generation; thats why the fight came off dull imo, the set up was dry as fukk and no coverage, the fight was high level chess otherwise though....

the floyd merchant fukkery wasnt a good look.
that was right after max had mosley confront him after his first win after retirement
they were always asking him stupid questions post fignt and were always playing little games behind the scenes.
its one thing to build a fight, but the way they rolled with pacquaio and arum over him that time is why they lost him.
