Yeah see I knew it

OP is one of these trans alt bike retards who don't realize this shyt is just CACs on a crusade

I'm glad some of y'all can confirm what I been saying cause he's really out here pretending this is an issue

Bet you'll show us some left leaning polls that say New Yorkers all want bikes next

Yes especially this week... there's been a plethora of people on bikes in NYC :laff:

YOU are pro CACs taking over neighborhoods in this city and pushing their own agendas as if the Black people who live there are down with it.

That Open Streets shyt and this bike lane everywhere including the fukking ceilings shyt is an example of that

what makes you think black folks aren't interested in getting from point A to point B safely on bikes? :gucci:

we've also lobbied the city for ferries, more express buses, speed bumps to deter street races and even transit lines. theres plenty of black folks who care about multiple forms of transportation and road safety.

Yes but the majority do not

Don't use bike fanatics to perpetuate the idea that biking is this huge issue in NYC

It is not

It's why most of the posts you'll find on Twitter about it are from young, white, colonizers who like to front like they're working class and woke but are either shills for the real estate industry, technocrat posers, or bike nutjobs who think "cars are rolling death machines" and are soldiers in the "War on Cars"

It's why all the polls that you'll find about it are left leaning and biased... because on the list of things that New Yorkers care about, its low

New Yorkers care a lot more about the trains being on time, being clean, safe, free of homeless people sleeping in the stations or in the trains, and having LESS traffic and congestion...than bike lanes

YOU people are the reason there's more traffic because the fukktards at the DOT have the dumbass idea that cutting off streets and CAUSING congestion will remove congestion, not to mention the amount of Ubers and Lyfts on the street

And Uber and Lyft FUND trans alt :laff:

The crazy thing is... I have a bike and ride it almost every day in the summer but even I can admit that cyclists in this city are out of their minds with the decisions they make on the road and go out of their way to be dikkheads in traffic

nothing you claimed is true or backed by any studies except for the increase in uber and lyft drivers which is a worldwide issue wherever ridin-sharing apps operate.

Yeah right back at you :stopitslime:

The DOT under DeBlasio have definitely used congestion in order to stop congestion all through the city it's been their MO for years under the Vision Zero crap.

And every Black person in this city knows when a CitiBike rack pops up in your neighborhood, it is the flag of the gentrification CAC being planted in your area.

Also the bike shytheads used Covid as the reason to push the Open Streets garbage all over the 5 boroughs, especially in neighborhoods where no one asked for it.

Cutting off entire swaths of the streets so that yuppies in strollers can walk in the street with their dogs

Remember I warned you when there is eventual pushback on this stupid shyt

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Eric Adam’s you better get on the neck of the department of sanitation about the curbside bins pilot. Eliminate the trash bags on the street culture of NYC immediately.

the pilot was suppose to start in October and DOS is blaming Covid for not doing it despite hundreds of restaurants having curbside seating

theres more congestion because of more cars not narrower lanes.

black folks been noting the lack of citibike availability in black neighborhoods for years.

A new report states Citi Bike is neglecting low-income neighborhoods while giving preference to the most privileged parts of New York City.

The report — which advocacy group New York Communities for Change released Wednesday morning — used publicly available data to show that more than 76 percent of New Yorkers do not have Citi Bike access. That number is 84 percent for people of color, and 75 percent of neighborhoods in extreme poverty.

The report also says 2.5 million people live further than half a mile from the subway, but 3.8 percent of them have access to bike stations.

The areas where Citi Bikes can be found is 21.5 percent more white than the rest of the city, with a higher median household income.
Report: Citi Bike is Neglecting Low-Income Neighborhoods

https://www.usnews.com/news/national-news/articles/2018-06-14/bike-share-still-has-a-race-problem
To address this, Citi Bikes spearheaded an initiative in Bedford Stuyvesant, a predominantly black community, by partnering with the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation "to break down barriers and increase bike-share usage in this community." Restoration created Citi Bikes-focused ads featuring residents of color who used Citi Bike and highlighted their personal stories about why they joined and why they rode.

The ads were placed in Bedford Stuyvesant subway stations, on local buses and bus shelters, and ran in targeted papers They say the reception in the lower-income community of color was overwhelmingly positive.

The popularity of the program was not just anecdotal. According to Motivate, the number of Citi Bike trips taken in Bedford Stuyvesant more than doubled from 146,000 in 2015 to 319,000 in 2016, and the number of members in the neighborhood grew 56 percent from March 2015 to December 2016 compared to a 46 percent increase citywide.

The bike-share program has long been criticized for catering to wealthy New Yorkers.

Got no issues with the bike lanes. The city is meant to be walkable and way smaller than it is. I have a car but the less cars (mainly Uber & Lyft) the better.

If we're doing this, it has to be coupled with other things. Significant investment in the MTA being the main one. Cracking down on the lawlessness of cyclists and delivery brehs is another.

Can we make an official Eric Adam thread. I would like to follow his progress. We can’t allow bad reputations to hit black politicians the way cacs did mayor Dinkins

Black Guiliani is a menace. He's a dumbass who thinks we're still in the 80s. He will be his own downfall.
