Me and the crew did. It was such a weird experience. My best friend is a huge hulk fan and he sat there for the whole runtime with his eyes wide open in shock. Homie didn't blink

Superman 1 & 2 hold a special place in my movie loving heart but they really have not held up well over the years. They are extremely dated and the attempts at humor are just cringe-inducing.

lex luthor is what brings the movie down imo. the movie is damn near perfect until he arrives.

and i ain't got no problem with how campy he was... but imo he just didn't stack up as a villain. the movie felt bigger than that.

once he enters the picture it stops being a story about coming of age and self discovery and devolves into good guy vs bad guy saturday morning cartoon fanfare.

but those action scenes are still piff to me. really think those effects hold up well.

Before we even dig into this, this is a list composed by Empire readers, not the magazine itself:

30. Hulk
29. Superman Returns
28. The Rocketeer
27. Man of Steel
26. Cap 1
25. Chronicle
24. X-Men First Class
23. Thor
22. Spider-Man
21. Batman
20. Batman Begins
19. Dark Knight Rises
18. Hellboy 2
17. The Crow
16. Iron Man
15. Kick Ass
14. X Men Days of Future Past
13. Cap 2
12. Blade
11. The Incredibles
10. Guardians of the Galaxy
9. Watchmen
8. Unbreakable
7. Batman Returns
6. Spider-Man 2
5. Superman
4. Avengers
3. Superman 2
2. X2
1. Dark Knight

It's wild to me that they voted Watchmen as a top 10 flick..and Unbreakable for that matter. Not to say they aren't good but there are several movies on this list I'd put ahead of both of them..and batman returns.

You must of not seen the director's or ultimate cut of Watchmen.... that movie ended up being a cult classic.
