They're pacing themselves during season 2
Also... they need to streamline the episodeds. There's a lil too many story lines going on in the episodeds

Transitioning from a 5 episode "mini" series to a full fledged one is tough so no way should they have come back in September. I understand wanting to capitalize on the buzz but they could've come out with a 2 hour movie or something in the summer to keeps fans interested then come back in the winter with season 2.

The show can still be saved. They just need to take time to come up with better story lines. Also, the pointless cameos and Lee Daniel's love affair with Jamal and his singing must go. So does Dre's wife. Heffer needs to pay for killing Vernon.

Speaking of Vernon, I miss him. A Vernon/Dre/Camella triangle versus a Lucifer/Hakeem/Anika triangle could've been hot.

Can't do that on the coli. Everything is a competition. Despite the fact that one is on cable, the other is on broadcast, one is a summer show and the other isn't, one is about a record label and the other isn't, one is a soap opera that doesn't take itself too seriously and the other takes itself very seriously
