This guy is so out of touch it's sad. Joe was right. These big time acts are prisoners to their own success and end up being left behind when shyt starts changing and not knowing how to adapt. Em's awkwardness and unawareness of some shyt is just jarring.
Hopefully this means its no turning back for Eminem now. He seems pretty aware of everything finally. This album did well and aside from controversy, most people seem to like it
How 2 people got 2 different things from this is funny to me :mjlol:

Em been sheltered. I need Good Guy to be remade into a full song

I definitely can't say Paul is using Em. He's been Em's ride or die and has protected him from a lot of things. And helped save the guy's life when he was on the edge.

let's not forget these lines as well

love my fans but no one ever puts a grasp on the fact
That I sacrificed everything I had
I never dreamed I'd get to the level that I'm at
This is wack, this is more then I ever could of asked
Everywhere I go I had a sweater, hood or mask
What about math? how come I wasn't never good at that
Its like the boy in a bubble who never could adapt I'm trapped
If I could go back, I never would of rapped
I sold my soul to the devil, ill never get it back
I just want to leave this game with level head intact
Imagine going from being no one and seein' everything blow up
And all you did was grow up M-Cin'
Its fukking crazy, all I wanted was to give Hailey the life I never had
I've forced us to live alienated, so I'm saying

How you go from "Say goodbye to Hollywood" saying that you wanna step back and tend to your broken family now that you ain't gotta worry about money...to dropping another album a year later?

Not to mention, opening said album with Evil Deeds (one of my favorite Em songs, because I'm weird) saying shyt like:

Life ain't a fairytale, I'm about to be hoisted up in the air
Forty feet below me, there's people everywhere.
That I don't even know but it feels like they know me cause I'm on this ferris wheel
All I wanna do is go to the mall and take Hallie on the carousel
Without this crowd everywhere I go, but life is like a merry-go round
Here we go now, do-si-do now, curtains up the show must go now
Ring around the rosie, the show's over you can all go home now
But the curtain just don't close for me, this ain't how fame was supposed to be
Where's the switch that I could just turn off and on? This ain't what I chose to be
So please god, give me the strength to have what it takes to carry on
Til I pass 50 back the baton, the camera's on, my soul is gone

Encore is an album about Eminem not wanting to make an album lol, but he was still red hot and Interscope wasn't about to let him take years off to get himself stable. That's why he's holding a gun behind his back, shooting at the fans, the suicide note on the CD, the obvious trolling the label with shyt like my first single

I blame Paul... He has solely ran his career and dedicated himself to Em and he's been failing him on his end.

Em is a grown man but it's obvious that he has been holding Paul's pocket like a bytch for 20 some odd years. And Paul is about the bottom line.

See, I don't know if this is true coming from u. Of it is, then the album is kinda a dope concept. But u did defend the song Insane on Relapse:jbhmm:

"Just Lose It" is actually a funny parody of his singles as well. Dude was trolling his label and his fans.

I'm not saying it's a great song, just that it's funny.

yea he was going thru some shyt, then a year later he drops When I'm Gone and then he fell back afterwards. the death of Proof and the fame made him depressed and we didn't hear from him in 2 years when Relapse dropped. that entire time period was weird as hell, he dropped The Re-Up to hold people over while he had to fix what was going on in his life.

Doesn't stop it from being a disappointing album but I do think it's interesting considering what he was trying to get across with some of the songs and the art work. I put that theory out there before and someone said it reminded them of a Bob Dylan album that was similar, I wish I knew the name of the album they were referencing.

Insane was one of the hardest beats on that album despite him doing some silly shyt lol. And being that a lot of people experience some sort of sexual trauma when they're young I figured he was using humor to address something that may have really happened to him, like on Brain Dammage. Like that song is goofy but he used a warped fantasy and imagery to talk about the time some kid literally fukked him up to the point where he had to re-learn how to tie his shoes, that's not funny at all but that's how some people deal with pain.

Same way how some people speculate on whether Pac was molested or was he just putting that in his raps to tell a story, you never really know.

I think in a round about way, him getting off into the pills FORCED them to let him fall back.

"Do you know how many people lost their jobs because of your fukking vacation?"
