"beautiful pain" :wow:

I can feel the heat rising
Everything is on fire
Today's a painful reminder of why
We can only get brighter
The further you put it behind ya
And right now I'm on the inside
Lookin out, cause

[Hook: Sia]
I found her in the flames
There's a beautiful kind of pain
Setting fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light

[Verse 1]
Yesterday was the tornado warning, today is like the morning after
Your world is torn in half, you wake and let's wait to start the morning process
Rebuilding and you're still a work in progress
Today is a whole new chapter, it's like an enormous ass
The thunderstorm has passed ya, your weather didn't poke his eyes out with the thorn bush that you
Used to smell the roses, stopped to inhale can't even tell your nose is stuffed
So focused on the brightside, then you floor the gas pedal, and hit the corner fast,
the more asserted, never looking back, may hit the curb, but everyday is a new learning curve,
as you, steer through life, sometimes you might not wanna swerve, but you have to, to avert a disaster, lucky, no permanent damage, cause they hurt you so bad, it's like they murdered your ass, and threw dirt on your casket, but you returned from the ashes, and that hurt that you have, you just converted to gasoline, and while you're burning the past, standing at inferno and chant

[Hook: Sia]
I found her in the flames
There's a beautiful kind of pain
Setting fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light

So familiarize what having to swallow this pill is like
It happens all the time, they take your heart and steal your life
And it's as though you feel you've died because you've been killed inside
But yet you're still alive which means you must survive
Although today you may weep because you're weak and
Everything seems so bleek and hopeless
The light that you're seeking, it begins to seep in
That's the only thing keeping you from leaping off the motherfreaking deep end
And I'm pulling for you to push through this feeling
And with a little time that should do the healing
And by tomorrow you may even feel so good that you're willing
To forgive them even after all that shyt you been put through
This feeling of resilience is building and the flames are burning
Quick as fire would through this building, you're sealed in
But you're fireproof and flame retardant you withstood it
And as you climb up to the roof you're just chillin and you look down
Cause you're so over them you could put the heel of your foot through the ceiling

As time passes, things change everyday
But wounds, wounds heal
But scars still remaining the same
But tomorrow today's gone down in flames
Throw the match at the ? place

So feel the fire beneath your feet
As you barely even perspire from the heat
Exhale deep and breathe a sigh of relief
And as you say goodbye to the grief
It's like watching the walls melt in your prison cell
But you've extinguished this living hell
Still a little piece of you dies, you scream

[Hook: Sia]
I found her in the flames
There's a beautiful kind of pain
Setting fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light

[Sia]
Feel the burn, watch the smoke as I turn
Rising, a phoenix from the flames
Flame of love, we're going to fight the word, fight
Now it feels with these wings that I will fly

I found her in the flames
There's a beautiful kind of pain
Setting fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light

All the bullshyt aside, the most exciting thing about this album is how flagrant Em is about telling every other emcee who wants some to come get some. Pause. Sounds like he's desperate for one of hip-hop's biggest names to run their mouth...

I've been a fan of Eminem since the SSLP and this album is NOTHING like SSLP or MMLP. You really think Em's rhyming, flow, mic presence, or songwriting abilities are anywhere close to what they were then? :snoop:

This album is trash period. Especially when compared to his older work.

He has always been like that..he is on some "I wish you WOULD :birdman:" type of shyt...

But he knows it ain't gonna happen...cuz them nikkas KNOW what is gonna happen if they try slandering the white boy...

and plus if there was a Hov vs. Em battle..it will be World War 3 of Stans....it might as well be a race war....:wow:

he's better technically than both of those albums....nikka are u deaf? don't confuse experimenting with flows and deliveries for sounding nothing like those albums, especially when you got songs like Brainless, Bad Guy, Baby that sound like they were recorded in 2000.

I don't believe none of you nikkas when yall say yall were fans since SSLP then yall go slandering this album. I think yall need to go listen to Brain Dead and then come back and listen to Brainless to see why I think yall frontin...

I agree with both of you guys to some extent. Em's flow, rhyming, content, and overall delivery is not at all what it was in his prime. But tracks like Legacy and Brainless give me flashbacks to Brain Damage and SSLP in terms of content. Bad Guy obviously has Stan flashbacks. Songs like So Much Better and Baby sound like stuff that could've been put on The Eminem Show.

:what: :wtf:

Did you really just say Em is better now than he was in the MMLP days? :heh: And none of the songs on the album sound remotely like they were recorded in 2000. Like seriously do you have any clue as to what good lyricism is?

I swear some of you Coli nikkas are retarded.

Post one verse from that shytty album that comes anywhere close to this:

Back when Mark Walhberg was Marky Mark
This is how we used to make the party start
We used to mix Hen' with Bacardi Dark
And when it, kicks in you can hardly talk
And by the, sixth gin you're gonna probably crawl
And you'll be, sick then and you'll probably barf
And my pre-diction is you're gonna probably fall
Either somewhere in the lobby or the hallway wall
And everything's spinning
You're beginin' to think women
are swimming in pink linen again in the sink
Then in a couple of minutes that bottle of Guinness is finished
You are now allowed to officially slap bytches
You have the right to remain violent and start wilin'
Start a fight with the same guy that was smart eyin' you
Get in your car, start it, and start drivin'
Over the island and cause a 42 car pile-up
[Em's spaceman voice]Earth calling, pilot to co-pilot
Looking at the life on this planet, sir, no sign of it
All I can see is a bunch of smoke flyin'
And I'm so high that I might die if I go by it
Let me out of this place
I'm outta place
I'm in outer space
I've just vanished without a trace
I'm going to a pretty place now where the flowers grow
I'll be back in an hour or so

The content is the same as it was back on MMLP, minus the apology to mom dukes. He's a much better rapper now than he was in 99/2000...which is crazy as fukk, dude got better at his craft.

Ok well no. His flow and delivery has been screwed up since Relapse - even on this album his flow was pretty choppy at times. His rhyming abilities are still pretty good, but definitely not as good his prime. His overall song writing abilities are definitely not as good either. Can't see how anyone in their right mind could think that.

if you really think Em is better rapper now than he was back in 2000 then you really are an idiot. Thats all I can say.

But like I said post on verse from MMLP2 that comes close to the verse from Drug Ballad. I'm waiting.
