if you really think Em is better rapper now than he was back in 2000 then you really are an idiot. Thats all I can say.

But like I said post on verse from MMLP2 that comes close to the verse from Drug Ballad. I'm waiting.

He is technically better...look at how much more he is rhyming words n shyt, the different flows? none of which he used back in the day...so yea, dude is technically sharper than he ever was. The songs may not grab you as much, but there is no way you can't say he isn't better at his craft.

try to separate technical ability and songs to understand where im coming from...

I'm not gonna quote verses...i gave you the name of a few songs where he went off...go look up the lyrics if you want...i'm not bout to be posting paragraphs of lyrics to prove a point..

There is nothing you can tell me about Em...dude is my 2nd fav. MC next to Nas...I've heard everything. I put lyricism over everything btw so this easy for me to ans....go listen to the 2nd verse on brainless, 3rd on so far, any verse from baby/evil twin...

cmon son...that wasnt even the best verse on the og album...lol
If you really think those garbage ass rhymes are better than the first verse from Drug Ballad or ANY verse from the original MMLP than you have no idea what constitutes good lyricism. Nuff said.

No jamming more random rhymes into a line in a verse does not equal better lyricism. I'm sorry man but you know nothing about lyricism.

did u hear Underground aka Criminal part. 2

stay wide awake is a top 10 em record....that 2nd verse ain't easy to pull off...
Yea Underground was pretty average, highly overrated by most Em fans imo.

Stay Wide Awake was terrific for sure. But those kinds of flawless songs are rare from Em these days. In the past he used to come up with stuff of that caliber without even trying.

Using different flows doesn't make him better. All of the flows he has switched up have all been worse than everything between SSLP-8 mile.

All I can say is if Em had come on to the scene in 99 spitting like he is now then there is no way he would've been as popular or respected as he was/is.

The content is the same as it was back on MMLP, minus the apology to mom dukes. He's a much better rapper now than he was in 99/2000...which is crazy as fukk, dude got better at his craft.

This is one of the realest Em verses I ever heard

[Verse 3: Eminem]
Cause to this day we remain estranged and I hate it though
Cause you ain't even get to witness your grand baby's growth
But I'm sorry mama for Cleaning Out My Closet, at the time I was angry
Rightfully maybe so, never meant that far to take it though, cause
Now I know it's not your fault, and I'm not making jokes
That song I no longer play at shows and I cringe every time it's on the radio
And I think of Nathan being placed in a home
And all the medicine you fed us
And how I just wanted you to taste your own, but
Now the medications taken over and your mental states deteriorating slow
And I'm way too old to cry, that shyt's painful though
But ma, I forgive you, so does Nathan yo
All you did, all you said, you did your best to raise us both
Foster care, that cross you bare, few may be as heavy as yours
But I love you Debbie Mathers, oh what a tangled web we have, cause
One thing I never asked was where the fukk my deadbeat dad was
fukk it I guess he had trouble keeping up with every address
But I'd of flipped every mattress, every rock and desert cactus
Own a collection of maps and followed my kids to the edge of the atlas
Someone ever moved them from me? That you could bet your ass's
If I had to come down the chimney dressed as Santa, kidnap them
And although one has met their grandma
Once you pulled up in our drive one night as we were leaving to get some handburgers
Me, her and Nate, we introduced you, hugged you
And as you left I had this overwhelming sadness come over me
As we pulled off to go our separate paths, and
I saw your headlights as I looked back
And I'm mad I didn't get the chance to thank you for being my Mom and my Dad
So Mom, please accept this as a tribute I wrote this on the jet
I guess I had to get this off my chest, I hope I get the chance to lay it before I'm dead
The stewardess said to fasten my seatbelt, I guess we're crashing
So if I'm not dreaming, I hope you this message that I'll always love you from afar
Cause you're my mama...
