I bet you didn't think it then but Relapse is Eminem's best album since his glory years

I loved Relapse when It came out, still do now. I'm listening to it again now since I'm in an Em mood, but MMLP2 is such a disappointment.. and it honestly may be my 2nd favorite Em album as a whole.

I just got to We Made You, and I honestly think I like that song better than anything on MMLP2.

Pitchfork's problem with those albums is (no matter what they write) is that listening to Jay-Z or Eminem in 2013 is not considered "cool" or trendy...and they dont have that 'fake artistic' vibe someone like Kanye has.

Agree with this.
once you understand the concept of the album and how all the tracks are a piece of a story ala GKMC its :whew:

kendrick bit relapse

relapse is a better concept album than GKMC

I set mine up to open with "My Darling" which makes the concept flow that much better. But 3 AM hits hard as an opener, so you lose a little to gain a little.

Yeah, I had that :ohhh: moment and was like :wow:

Even "We Made You" has a completely different context within the narrative of the album :blessed:
