Great point, yeah probably more of a taste thing, El is always smooth as butter on a track, Te gets into that choppy flow sometimes and it detracts from what he is saying imo.Honestly I think Tay and El are neck and neck. I give Elzhi the nod on Hiding Place and Not Here Anymore, but I think Tay took it on No Competition and Destiny N Stereo.
They're both competitive on every song together though and some of it boils down to taste. I like Phonte's voice a little better and the way he talks shyt in rhymes. So I kind of prefer his verses. But El is just so sharp and precise that you can't help but be blown away by his talent.
I never heard Elzhi before Hiding Place. I was in Chop Shop Studios and Khrysis played the joint about a year before Minstrel Show dropped and I was thinking
Who the fukk is this guest?!
First time hearing destiny n stereo, track is filthy, AND they had E Rob on that piece too
