EVERY QB..fukk it, every PLAYER in the league needs help getting somewhere

point is for being a supposed top 5 QB of ALL TIME dude couldnt get shiit done in the big game with a dominant defense to boot...his playoff numbers in those playoff games are shiit. dude was tony romo of the late 80s

again, before 94, elway's stats were pedestrian as they get.

and if your analysis is dependant on the "he got more times to the superbowl therefore he's better'...well, you're being retarded

young had a much shorter career but at his prime he was superior to elway.

Again Elway did not have anywhere near a dominant defense in 86 and 87. You are making that up.

so if we put down elway for needing hof rb/defense to win SB

Marino having the worst teams of the three, by far, should be consensus #1, no ?

really it's easily

Marino > Young > Elway

Elway rode TD to those two superbowls and as a passer does not compare to the two others

Young for his mobility and accuracy. A rare combination.

Then Elway because he performed well in the 4th quarter.

Meanwhile Marino may have been the best passer I've ever seen although Peyton and Brees have recently made claims.

Marino is the best pure QB ever.....

He had the Arm
Accuracy
And all the records to prove it
he just played on teams with NO running games..

The Yay
but he did take unimpressive teams to 3 Super Bowls during that period with clutch playoff performances
what are some "clutch playoff performances of his ? games against the fukkin browns ?
when it came to the big games dude laid an egg...three fukkin times. 10 completions against the Niners and 14 against the foreskins. 39% passing

and its not alex smith we're talking about here. this guy elway had 2 tds and FIVE picks in the first 3 superbowls

And he did NOT have dominant defenses in the 80's...not even close. In 86 they ranked 15...bottom half of the league. In 87 they were 7th.

ok not dominant, but very good. in the period from 83 to 91, broncos were top 3 in defense 3 times, and top 10 5 times. that's VERY GOOD.

If you want to say Elway is overrated cool, but to act like he was some kind of nobody who got carried by great teams is ludicrous, as is saying anybody who puts him ahead of Steve Young doesn't know what they're talking about, unless we have some kind of reality-altering machine that can show us how Elway would've played in the 49ers in the 90's and how Steve Young would've played in Dan Reeves system in the 80's.
again, how is he ahead of steve young ?
nfl is the league of performances. I dont want to hear about isolated talent bullshiit.
you either put up the #s in the system you are or you cant be considered the best or among the best. its that simple.

you havent made a single factual evidence as to how elway is better than young.
him "taking unimpressive teams" to the playoffs is laughable.
he 'took' some of those teams in the same way flacco or alex smith took the ravens or the niners.

again, NFL is a game where circumstantial shiit doesnt apply if you want to be one of the best. the whole system, surrounding cast bs goes out the window.

young in his prime shat on elway in his prime. its that simple.
