Not sure if I'll see it in theatres (it's WB so it'll be on HBO MAX eventually) but def watching it. Because if it's good, this is straight up Oscar bait.

Depression, addiction, loneliness and no freedom to do his own thing. His manager was destroying him. Just per what the movie says, I don't know about his real life story. But it mirrors what happened to MJ I thought because MJ was fixing to post up in Vegas like elvis did before he died.

I believe they did. I remember watching it as a kid. I think that dude that was in the temptations movie played Richard

It was made for TV, the Jackson's is the only made for TV flick I really enjoyed.

I remember really liking his scene in get on up. IMO. They need to give him his big screen flowers. Either him or chuck berry need oscar bait movies

Baz is a great director. The movie just kinda flashes you through different points of his life. The directing on this was awesome.

It definitely does feel weird seeing this dude just blatantly steal songs and get props. How bright his eyes get when he sees little Richard then he basically is like I can’t wait to steal that. Am i crazy or did this dude steal his entire swag from James Brown?

Culture Vulture stuff aside, it’s an interesting story.

Wonder how many artist lived that lifestyle? Getting pumped with something to sleep then something to wake up. Basically being addicted to amphetamines and opioids. On top of that all the normal drinking and drugs they do.

Then his manager basically pimping him and he thought he was the real talent. I bet there’s a lot of managers like that today.

Little Richard got a biopic. It was a tv biopic in the early 2000’s starring Leon and it was pretty good.

I just read he stopped sleeping with Priscilla after she had Lisa Marie, because he wasn’t attracted to mothers.
