Be realistic man, no one gets anything out of that. Respecting the black influence is necessary but expecting them to portray dude as a puppet/biter is unrealistic.

Elvis didn’t “steal” black music. He did profit off of it because he was a white face though. Which is an issue but you can’t steal music. Music is all descended from each other and based off of something prior.

I might. Just out of curiosity. Elvis was an extremely divisive artist for as popular as he was. My grandfather fukked with him, especially his country and gospel songs.

I'm no Elvis historian but I did see Great Balls of Fire! (The exclamation point is actually in the title of the movie. I wasn't excited to see that shyt) That was the Jerry Lee Lewis movie. The movie opens up with a scene of young Jerry and his lil friend as they are peeping into a black club with what Jerry's lil friend calls "the devil's music." Later on, as an adult, Jerry still watches the brothers and sisters get down. Only, now he's a star, so he hops in and starts tickling the keys with the old breh. Iont know if they'll do some scenes like that in the Elvis vehicle.

I think he would have made that same music if he was born black, brown whatever he just had the advantage at the time of being white which got him his audience. Having a large audience because the majority of the country can identify with you easier doesn’t make you a thief(ironic you mention Em another guy surrounded by blacks and African Americans and championing them) people choose who they listen to, can’t force it. That said this movie looks interesting, I liked a lot of Elvis’ music.
