I'm 99% certain this is not the number, given the revenues of the largest food companies combined are 100 times this amount and we have food insecurity for roughly 10% of the world.

Solving world hunger is a distribution problem as much as it is a finished goods availability problem.

Food spoils. The more remote the location it becomes exceedingly more costly to distribute because the transportation lanes are not established, the warehouses and grocery stores to maintain and sell aren't available, and the general volatility of the region is at risk. Given the climate of the region, it's probably not even feasible to farm in those locations.

This is not solely a money problem.
