My idea of UBI probably different from yours.:mjpls:

I wonder how leftist feel about UBI in conjunction with their lax immigration stance?:jbhmm:

We create money out of thin air...I'm sure alot of juelz hands will be offered up when you ask people who is going to pay for this......

Never mind.....already juelz hands,

^^^^^^^He says basically, "doesn't know where the money will come for to pay for this, but if we can find money for war we can find money for this"....:laff: The sad sack doesn't realize the warmongering is not for the benefit of American citizens.....so why would there be any serious implementation of UBI without strings......Yall know what one of those strings is right??? That B.U.Y.E.....Beast Under Your Epidermis ...:leostare: ..

I think simple jobs will be automated and it'll lead to a populace that needs to be more educated and pushed to do more difficult jobs.

A lot of futurists operate under the idea that robotics and more specifically the jobs they're taking require a more learned individual but writing a computer program that takes your money, gives correct change and sends your order to the fry cook is way easier than assessing the errors in a handmade job order and deciding whether or not it's feasible to ship the product with it.

Not to state to much about myself but I'm entering an industry where there is already automation but the technicians are moving into taking care of the robots themselves and performing QA on their work while the really complex tasks are left for humans to do.

I think this will be the case for the foreseeable future.

Those remaining jobs wouldn't cover not even 10 million people altogether. For the rest of the 350 million people in America, they will have to get UBI, or face revolts

Jobs we can't see now would appear and some of the service industries we have now would/could change practices to include more workers.

I literally just mentioned a new job spawned after the introduction of robots at a place I'm employed and my breh insisted that the arrival of robots (which are already here) will lead to mass unemployment.

People watch to much science fiction, when they say robots they don't mean iRobot but more "this robot is designed to do this (usually simple) repetitive task".

yeah i really don't see the problem with that. he shouldn't feel obligated to keep someone employed if he doesn't need them. he's obviously an a$$hole, but it is what it is.
