i can't wait for robocops. that's the automation i'd love to see. and to those who talk about what about public safety? well the random glitches won't be more dangerous to black people than these human scum cops.

at the thought of hundreds of thousands of current cops and future cops having to do something else.

On the contrary, robotic arms of the state should be even more frightening, because even the posibility of human agency being exercised by pigs would be eliminated. Having a robotic army of the ruling class programmed to serve its will is exceedingly dangerous. I'd even venture to say that might be the point of no return, where hierarchy and oppression become permanently baked into human society. Robots can't decide to do the right thing or rebel against an oppressive order (even if you think AI can advance to human-level cognition and thinking, they wouldn't rebel on behalf of humans, but rather for themselves).

Now, you could say that pigs in America are already that bad, and I wouldn't necessarily disagree. :ehh:

:sas2:UBI believers living in an alternate reality...There will be mass retirement all right...Just not what youre expecting...Before Tractors every farmer had a team of horses to pull the plow...where do you think all those horses went..to live a leisurely life in some pasture while getting free "universal" hay from the tractor??

shyts gonna get ugly:demonic:

So are you implying we just killed off switchboard operators or lamp lighters when their jobs went obsolete? :heh:

Payments accepted Obamacare,paypal and livestock

:comeon: you seriously comparing one occupation going obsolete at a time to what we are facing now...this shyts unprecedented bruh..theres robots being prepared to drive Trucks and taxis, work on farms, write sotware, build consumer goods,do all the clerical ,administrative jobs,Prepare food, run entire stores,do police work,Millitary ..

i cant think of any field that is gonna be safe other than building and servicing robots and the creative arts.

Switchboard operators and lamplighters had the luxury of time to find something else..but the future workers wont be so lucky...in 20 to 30 years the disruptions will be massive..the writing is on the wall.. why do you think Elon musk and the others are trying to sell UBI so hard.

you sound dumb as fukk

that's a step towards utopia

No it's not....

It's a step towards servitude...

First of all...the income inequality gap has been rapidly expanding while the income haven't move since 70s...

Any gains in the economy, goes towards the top 1 percent...

White House Predicts Robots May Take Over Many Jobs That Pay $20 Per Hour | The Huffington Post
In a report to Congress this week, White House economists forecast an 83 percent chance that workers earning less than $20 per hour will lose their jobs to robots.

So what really is going on with these uber-capitalist proposing a universal basic income...

"We won, we drove your wages down to dust, we shipped your jobs off to Asia, we blocked all efforts for you to organize and take control of the capital creating process. Now we gonna propose the government pays you off so you won't revolt, so we can take our robot army and do what we will."

And UBI is being proposed by both liberals, leftists and conservatives...and it isn't feasible.

Even in Finland, universal basic income is too good to be true | Declan Gaffney

Conservatives think we should just cut all social services...and just have UBI...which is ridiculous...and just conservative bullshyt...

Liberals and Leftists think UBI should be an add in to already existing services....

Truth of the matter is...UBI is a sign of doom. Fascism in the USA is the sign of doom. It's capitalists and the working class majority and the bourgeoisie, realizing that the system has raped and pillage enough and now they are trying to save their ass.

The solution and the only solution are worker owned places of employment, where worker dictate their destiny. Not capitalists.

Universal Basic Income is a cop out.

No it wouldn't...

All it would do is give them an excuse to lower the wages even further, probably would let them lobby for the removal of minimum wage, probably give them the excuse to remove social security and other social services. They probably just peddle products and have us on some Wall-E shyt while they get even richer.

UBI is a terrible idea...it is a victory lap for super capitalists.

victory lap #17453?

and while i strongly disagree that everyone would suddenly be on some wall-e shyt (i believe it would have the opposite effect on most people)...

have you seen wall-e?

have you seen life in the third world, or even lower class america?

which one is worse breh

fat, jolly, and ignorant by choice - or suffering, working to death for overlords just to eat and sleep
