I truly believe cheap drones is the reason Ukraine is able to hold off for 3 years. Of course western help is the biggest reason but I’ve seen videos where Russian would try to attack UKR positions with like 7-8 tanks to only get destroyed with bunch of drones with dead soldiers laying all around.

That said, he’s not entirely wrong. These drones are capable of some insane destruction. Imagine if one of his automated rockets houses these things. You’d basically be able to overtake and threaten a single city with one drone-loaded rocket.

Load up a hypersonic missile containing a drone army and let it deploy tens of thousands of drones behind enemy lines doing all types of shyt.

Nukes, Rockets and Drones are basically what will define a nation’s defense going forward.

and today? their effect and impact is like.... obvious lmao. I don't get how people can say its not a big deal when the amount of Russian tanks shredded by drones is staggering and country with no navy is out here sinking ships. How drones were a big part of how Hamas penetrated Israel's defenses. Etc. Like that's dismissive for the hell of it. This shyt is worth being horrified over. Not on the fence about if its real or not.

I could've embedded the whole thread, but it would've been a waste of words. I agree with his points, and mines would've been no different. Despite all of the kills we see via drone footage, they still don't have that much skin in the game. It's too early to put them at the top of the food chain just yet. Yeah, they look good against a bunch of flat top Russians, and Israel, but could one stand a chance against the USAF and it's state of the art Anti-Air/Cyber Defense capabilities?

As of today a drone is 1) never delivering a nuclear weapon, 2) attacking an established point deep in enemy territory, 3) taking out an enemy jet from 500 miles away, 4) staying in the air for approximately eight hours without refueling, or 5) destroying a fortified underground facility.

Again, drone warfare is the future, but not today. Now as for the blue bolded, I never disputed that. They SHOULD be pivoting, because I would. But if I'm the USAF, I'm happy with what I have for right now. Which is the best Fighter Jet in the world (which just so happens to manned, as of today).

Several drone programs in the states exist R/N btw.

One company is building A LOT around that and has hired people through paying R I D I C U L O U S salaries to
give them an edge against the larger Primes (NG, Boeing, Lockheed, Raytheon etc.)
