The Truth
I think this is the most logical explanation thanks. Dudes are talking like the US Education System isn't ass compared tot he world, but shutting down and moving to the states doesn't really address the problem. The GOP is using Govt Bloat/Inefficiency as an out for what they really want to do so It becomes an easier "sell".
Im not against a review or even a revamp of the DoE. shyt… VA, DOD, Congress, etc… all need retooling. I’m not a fan of longstanding government policies that seem to help the wealthiest either.

But to just replace shyt without a legit plan of action or guideline going forward :jbhmm:

But maybe Elon is correct and temporary hardships are needed to help change peoples consciousness out here.

Age of Enlightenment… Let them fukk shyt up and lets see if people start facing the truths about themselves.

Or… lets just all be stupid af :blessed:. Ignorance really is blissful all the way up to the point when it’s not.

Elon and his ilk are "Accelerationist", they want to accelerate the collapse so they can be the ones who create "order" and be the benevolent dictators of society (reality is everyone would be dependent on their solutions which = profit). The context is they could very well provide the solutions that actually work/help but they would be the "monarch" or the future they want to create if that makes sense.

This will be one of the biggest blows (if not the biggest) to the Black community.

The DOE oversees the Pell Grant system and its spending. As of February 2024 72 percent of Black Americans use Pell Grants to pay for college and universities.

HBCU’s are responsible for 1/5 Black graduates despite only being 101 out of 6,100 colleges and universities in America; HBCU’s are responsible for 75 percent of all PHD’s, 85 percent of Black doctors, 80 percent of Judges (you know the rest).

75 percent of HBCU funding comes from Pell Grant students.

So conservatives will say well they will just give money to the states. Except for one problem, 94.7 percent of all HBCU’s are in Southern States (unless you count Maryland as a southern state then it’s 97 percent).

Republicans have already shown what the believe about higher education as they have slashed education budgets (Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi and Alabama) or have not given HBCU’s adequate funding (Tennessee, Florida and North Carolina).

This is an absolute disaster.

OK what do you propose?

You make loans like you normally do - private lenders and banks loan anyone the funds they want for higher education.

Except this time the loans are backed by the colleges instead of the U.S. taxpayer. When you put the risk on the schools, you will quickly not only see the cost of education drop (no longer subsidized), but all of the bullshyt Marxists activists masquerading as educators will be quickly be tossed out of the system.

Students will also hold colleges accountable. When you get a degree in something that isn't useful to society, you have no one else to blame but yourself and the college. As the ROI is low and THEY are on the hook (the school is now competing in a free market), they won't offer things there is no future in or have to lower prices. There's no reason a liberal arts major should be paying $100k for a degree and 4 years of time, the same as an Electrical Engineering major.

This will also expose that $100k isn't REALLY about the quality of the education, but the value of the connections elite universities offer. That's one of the prime reasons they cost so much. Americans are not ready for these discussions because they view education as virtue, so any criticism of an institution is viewed as an attack on that virtue and not the worth of the institution itself.

Yup

Yall better be home-teaching yall kids as well as have them in school and bet on some scholarships because it’s probably going to be a long road for them to try to finish college without it. Or join the military… but idk even if Veteran benefits will be secured. Dude cut veterans funding while he was in office the first time :mjlol:

Or, think like I do and say fukk it… majority of Americans don’t go to college or care about education anyway, look at who voted for him :blessed:

Private schools are about to be making bank bank because that'll be the only way to get a decent education.

Pay to play. Raising a decent kid got way more expensive.

Problem is it makes private schools worse, because one of private school's main strengths are smaller class size.

I can give two good reasons why this would be a dumb idea

1. People with learning Disabilities would have a harder time seeking quality education if the DOE is shut down.
2. Title 1 schools would not be able to receiving any proper funding, which means they would have to close down. Thousands of kids from low-income areas would be out of a education.

Now maybe a revamped would be better, seeks areas where the DOE can be improved.
Yeah, this is all part of the plan: destroy/completely remove and not revamp or improve.

Basically a big paywall for a decent education now (some private schools).

Reminder that a lot of private schools are actually horrible as well, so some low-tier private schools about to see a lot of money roll in because it's at least a little better than public education, but not even close to worth the money.

Basically another big move to destroy the middle class: more separation between the haves (those who can afford) and have nots.

If the Democrats would've bushed those radical LGBTQ activists this would be a lot less popular. Those activists ruined the outlook on education in this country. That shyt that happened at Columbia and "elite" universities pissed a lot of people off.

It opened the door but gosh man this ain't it
