I hope liberals don't hop on the "haha white people" angle of this. H1B is heavily exploited by corporations and it doesn't only hurt white grads. It hurts black people. Trucker jobs are going to H1B applicants now, specifically from China. Entry level accounting jobs. Book keeping. Farming hands. Take a step back from just focusing on the engineering jobs. A lot of different jobs are using this exploit. Why? Because you can pay them less, work them 90 hours a week and they can't do shyt. What are they gonna do, quit? They lose the visa and get deported. They have to stay employed to remain in the US.

I'm open to shytcanning H1B. I'm open to heavily reforming it. Either way it will benefit Americans. This is not anti-immigrant sentiment either. A more open immigration process would allow more competition instead of allowing corporations to cherry pick a bunch of [insert group] to drive trucks, be engineering grunts, work in sales etc.

I fully support the O-1 visas, which are the ones for foreign geniuses. That's completely different, and more in line with the "bring the best to America" mantra that I have no issue with. But bringing a socially retarded Indian engineer over here because you can make him work 90 hours a week and under pay him compared to a (admittedly less smart) black/white/etc American is not sustainable.

There were more H1B applicant selections under Trump than under the current administration. Trump is also on video talking about how he will increase those numbers. And how they should be automatically granted green cards upon graduation, so they can stay in the country. No one else is proposing policies like this.

And if you're smart enough to do the work without a degree guess what? Hiring H1Bs legally requires you to hire Americans based off whatever the education level of the visa holder is.
