In terms of Lay-offs all I can say is to keep your skills sharp. It’s going to be tough and there’s no telling what this administration will do to the market. Check your local area’s tech stacks and try to learn those. However, when you’re comfortable start applying for remote roles.
Try to chase a degree if you don’t have one (a lot of good online options).
ChatGPT stuff you don’t know (use it to blast through degree courses). ChatGPT is a monster of knowledge. It may get some things wrong, but not often (depending on what you’ve asked it).
Unfortunately, I have no hacks or tricks other than learn the fundamentals and grind some Leetcode (check Neetcode on YouTube and ChatGPT). Keep working on interview skills, practice answering interview questions with the STAR format. Then keep sending out resumes. It’ll basically be like a job.
