Democratic Socialism is palatable when framed as the Nordic Model.

And there is a surge in popularity and has been over the last few years.

Surprisingly, once the Red Scare itself ended, and conservatives could no longer stamp their feet and point at the Soviet Union as the specter of totalitarian Communism, it became less of a common fear.
